Heather A. Thorpe, Esq. specializes in personal injury law offering over 13 years experience representing victims of auto accidents in Georgia. She holds Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from York University and Doctor of Jurisprudence from John Marshall Law School.
A social worker at heart, Ms. Thorpe began her career in the non-profit world working to protect children in Georgia through organizations that include Prevent Child Abuse Georgia, United Way 211 and Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies.
After being admitted to the Georgia Bar, Ms. Thorpe worked in the field of Social Security Disability, representing claimants in Title II and Title XVI administrative hearings before the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review. In 2007, she began working for a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm representing clients in motor vehicle accidents, dog bites and slip and falls. She also worked as an adjunct professor teaching courses that include “Ethics and Paralegal Professionalism” and “Legal Writing”.
Ms. Thorpe is a native of Canada, is a wife and mother and enjoys volunteering in her free time. Some of her volunteer work includes the State Bar of Georgia Docent Program, Fulton County Truancy Intervention Project, and The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation.
She is a long-standing member of the State Bar of Georgia.
