Ruben Cruz among the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia

On September 13, the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) recognized a group of Latino leaders in Georgia as the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia. These individuals were selected because of their professional achievements and extraordinary contributions to the betterment of their community in the state. Among the honorees were successful artists, media personalities, athletes, as well as business and civic leaders. We are proud to announce that in this distinct group of leaders, our very own founder and president, Ruben Cruz was recognized for his 30 years of service to the latino community and his active work to promote higher education and leadership development for Latino youth through the Alcanzando Un Sueño Scholarship Program. Ruben is a pillar of the community and an example to other Latino, who like himself, came to this country with enormous desires to succeed.

Ruben was born in Havana, Cuba, to a hardworking family that immigrated to the United States when he was only 7 years old. His parents taught him the importance of education and hard work in his path to become a successful attorney and businessman. Today, Ruben stands among a distinguished group of leaders, all, who in their own way, work to make the path for other immigrants easier. His life’s work is to serve, protect and uplift families, who much like his own, contribute greatly to this country that we now call home. “I want to thank the GHCC for this recognition and my hope is that it will inspire new generations to serve their community as well,” said Ruben Cruz.
