Jarvis B. Läkemäker is a personal injury Attorney with Cruz & Associates. He concentrates his practice on representing Plaintiffs in trucking, auto, and premises liability claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Jarvis was a defense attorney where he represented Motor Carriers and healthcare providers in insurance defense matters. He also was a senior associate with Atkins David, LLC, where he practiced in the insurance defense group handling medical malpractice, civil rights, and premises liability matters in addition to workers’ compensation. He was a partner with FisherBroyles, LLP, where he represented health plans, fiduciaries, third-party administrators, individuals, and plan participants and beneficiaries in ERISA and managed care cases. Jarvis has also handled a variety of civil litigation matters involving creditor’s rights litigation, including suits on account, credit card contracts, auto repossession, and student loan default cases. Jarvis acted as lead defense counsel on FDCPA, TILA, GAFBPA, TCPA, and UDPTEA claims.

Military service brought Jarvis to Georgia in 1999 where he served as an intelligence analyst and security manager for the 13th Corps Support Battalion at Ft. Benning. From 2001 through 2003 Jarvis performed geopolitical intelligence analysis for US Army South in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Following his military service, Jarvis enrolled at Columbus State University where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree. Jarvis graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2010. While enrolled in law school Jarvis was a member of Working in the Public Interest and the American Constitutional Society. Jarvis also participated in the Public Interest Practicum where he organized a project that worked with the State Bar of Georgia to assist Georgia veterans.
